Leaders in Training (L.I.T.) is designed for teens going into 8th, 9th or 10th grade. The focus of this program is to build the skills necessary to become future camp counselors. Each week includes team building, program planning, relationship building and time with campers. L.I.Ts will work with staff to meet established goals, practice filling out job applications, have mock interviews, learn about general business practices, and have the option to receive a First Aid & CPR certification. After successful completion of the L.I.T program, participants will be offered a position as an Assistant Camp Counselor after their 10th grade year. L.I.T’s will be required to fill out a general application after their registration. This will help our staff get to know the L.I.T.s and shape programming around individual goals and wants.
